Strawberry Picking

Friday Olivia and I went to Frobergs market. They have great produce (much better than our grocery stores.) The best part about the place is that it has it's own Strawberry patch behind the store. We took advantage of the perfect weather and picked lots of strawberries. Olivia picked a few, but she really liked holding the bucket. We hope to go back with Dad soon.

My Lucky Charm

Olivia and I hosted a St. Patrick's Day playdate at one of the local parks. She had lots of fun, and took a great nap afterwards.
(She was wearing green, but it was a little chilly that morning so she needed a jacket.)

Not her first Rodeo

Olivia at last year's Rodeo. Someone told her the food was the best part.

Olivia was the leader of the train.

It's rodeo time in Houston and while my mom visited we had to take Olivia. We were really excited to see how she'd like the rodeo this year. She loved seeing all of the animals. Our favorite was the "Birthing Center." Olivia is no longer a fan of strollers. She had a lot more fun running around the exibits on her own. Thankfully, we went early in the day when it wasn't so crowded.

Grandma's visit

We did lots of shopping. Olivia needed some time to cool off in the fountain at the Town Center.

At our new favorite place on rainy days, The Stomping Ground.

Grandma, when are you coming back to visit?

Last week my mom came down to spend the week with us. I'm sure this wasn't the most relaxing vacation that she's ever had, but I think we all had lots of fun.
We took her to the rodeo and the zoo and the childrens museum. And Luis and I had a chance to go out on a few dates(yay!).

18 months?

Olivia turned 18 months on March 5th. It's hard to believe that in just a few more months I will be planning her second birthday. I just looked through her first birthday pictures and it is amazing to see how much she has changed. She definitely is a lot more little girl and a lot less baby. She's still on the petite size...not really fitting into most of her 18 month clothes yet. Her vocabulary has really started developing and I get a kick out of our little conversations. Her latest phrase is "see ya." Her temper has really started to show too, and we've had to start implementing time outs. Still, Olivia is the sweetest, funniest girl I know. It's hard to stay upset with her for very long.
We spent March 5th with our friends Aidan and Brooke at "Flippin Out." It's one of those indoor bounce places. Olivia a little while to get comfortable with the place, but she has a blast. Especially when she's jumping with Aidan.

The kids did not like this guy...too scary.

Olivia liked "playing" the video games more than jumping.

Polish Princess

It's seems like we've all been sick these last few weeks, so not so much to blog about. I almost thought we would get through the cold and flu season without getting sick.
Last week was Paczki day AKA Fat Tuesday. I couldn't believe that I found Paczkis at a grocery store in Texas. Of course they weren't as good as I remembered, but they did the trick. And like any good Polish mom I let Olivia have one for breakfast.
