Let's Play Ball!

Olivia and I got to go see our other favorite baseball team play while we visited Detroit. She kept trying to climb all of the stairs, but once she was able to sit in her OWN seat she was a happy camper. She ended up falling asleep during the game and slept through all of the cheering when the Tigers scored a few runs and she slept through everyone singing Take Me Out to the Ball Game. I guess I shouldn't have to worry about making too much noise around the house during nap time.

We also took a trip to the Toledo zoo. It was so nice! And we could not have asked for more perfect zoo weather. Olivia liked seeing the Polar bears and penguins. It's too hot for them in Houston.

Olivia had so much fun visiting with everyone. She definitely isn't as shy as she used to be. Here are a few more pics.

Happy Easter

We were lucky to spend Easter in Michigan with Grandma & Papa and lots of family. Olivia's favorite part of the day was hunting for easter eggs in Grandma's living room. (Still too cold to do it outside.)

Before our easter vacation we checked out the newly remodeled Children's Museum. It was so much fun! We stayed for 2 hours but could have easily stayed longer. We can't wait to go back.

Thank you Grandma Nora!!

Luis's mom came for a surprise visit a few weeks ago. Of course we had to do a little shopping. Here is Olivia in the outfit she bought. She actually kept the hat on for a little while.

Easter Eggs and Blue Bonnets

Saturday morning we took Olivia to our city's Easter Egg hunt. She didn't quite know what to do when everyone started running around, but I think she liked being around all the action. She only got a few eggs. Luckily she ran into her friend Aidan and he offered to share some with her.
Later that morning we decided to take Olivia to a blue bonnet patch to take some pictures. Blue bonnets are the state flower and it's a tradition in Texas to take pictures of the kids in blue bonnet fields. Normally they are on the side of the highway, but lucky for us there is a house close by that has them in their front yard. They let families stop and take pictures and ask that you return with prints for their scrapbook. Originally we were going to have one of the mom's from our playgroup take the photos, but she has been sick. Oh, and I was a bad mom last year and didn't take blue bonnet pictures, but don't tell Olivia.
