First Day of School

Olivia started school a few weeks ago. It has been a big adjustment for her. I guess she had more fun with me over the summer than I thought! I know once she gets used to it, she will love it just as much as she did last year.

Birthday post part 2

Olivia got to visit with lots of family and friends over her birthday weekend. We were all even surprised to get a visit from Grandma D. She decided to tag along for the trip with my mom. We really showed her a lot of Houston this time. We went as far west as Katy to Katy Mills Mall, and as far south as Galveston, to Moody Gardens Aquarium. It was a fun week!!

Happy Birthday Olivia

Olivia turned 3 on September 5th! For the most part, I think we are both loving this age so far.
She had a big bash at Chuck E Cheese. Olivia loves going to Chuck E Cheese to play, however we have learned that she does not like to be the center of attention, and she does not like a big mouse named Chuck. At the end of the day she told us how much fun her birthday party was, although you would never tell looking at the pictures of her sourpuss face.

6 months

Happy 1/2 birthday to our sweet baby girl!! Mia is weighing in at 14 lb 13 oz and is 27 in long. She's tall and skinny (?). She is so sweet and so observant. She follows everything that Olivia does. She is eating so well and has not tried anything that she doesn't like. I have a feeling that she will be moving to table food pretty quickly. Mia has started sitting up on her own. Now her favorite thing to do is stand up. She is just itching to be on the move.

Mommy & Olivia day

Olivia and I got to spend the whole day together when we went with some friends to see Nick Jr Storytime Live. I can't say I loved the show, but I LOVED spending some one on one time with my big girl. I also heard that Mia had lots of fun with her daddy!

Olivia and her new friend Ian.

Mia was so tired, but such a trooper during our shopping trip.

Olivia at the Dallas Galleria Mall (Like most big shopping malls in Texas, they have a skating rink!)

A few weeks ago we took a trip up north to Dallas. We had such a nice time visiting Aunt Ana and Uncle Brad and our friends, The Pucketts. It was so nice to get away for a few days. Olivia loved swimming in the hotel pool. We were having so much fun that we stayed an extra day. We took Olivia to the Natural Science Museum. We also spent some time at the Dallas Galleria. The girls and I dragged Luis to the American Girl store. Good thing we have a few years to talk him into buying the dolls! We can't wait to go back for another visit!

FIVE MONTHS

Amelia turned five months last week. She is growing in the blink of an eye. She really is starting so show us her playful personality. Mia has started rolling over from her belly to her back more often. She is slowly starting to wean from breastfeeding:( She has also started eating rice cereal. She really likes it, although she needs a little more practice! Mia has never been the best sleeper, but the last few nights have gotten better. When she wakes up she has been able to sooth herself back to sleep. We all adore her so much!!
