Falling behind

My goodness I have fallen behind on my blogging. Time to get back on track. So much has happened since I last posted. The girls had the best Christmas. Even though we missed spending the holiday with our grandparents and aunts and uncles, it was great to not have to deal with traveling. And so cute to see the girls wake up at home on Christmas morning. Mia is growing up so quickly. She really enjoyed all of her gifts, but her favorite was a drum from Olivia. She still plays with it every day! Olivia loved her new dolly house. She does PRETTY good at sharing with Mia, and makes sure that she doesn't get hold of any small pieces. Christmas day we were invited over to our neighbors home for dinner. The meal was delicious and it was nice to visit with them. Olivia's friend Adam had lots of presents to show her. His Grandma was visiting and she loved having the girls around. After Christmas, Olivia couldn't wait to celebrate New Year's (Thanks Max & Ruby). She asked for us to get her noisemakers and she stayed up until 10pm. The video is dark but you can hear how excited she is! After Mia went to bed she went outside with Luis and watched him light a few fireworks. She really loved it, now we can't wait for the 4th of July!

Deck the Halls

Olivia was super excited to decorate for Christmas this year. We were able to put up the entire tree and most of the decorations around the house while Mia napped. Olivia did a great job hanging all of the ornaments on the bottom of the tree. Even though I think we have plenty, she was looking for more. We may have to take a little shopping trip the day after Christmas to get more ornaments for next year, since I will have two helpers decorating with me. As soon as Mia woke up, we decided to put the baby gate around the tree. It was just too tempting for her little hands. I'm sure Santa will be able to maneuver around it.
Olivia loved the lights on the outside of the house too. She was very worried about Luis while he was on the roof hanging them. She kept saying, "Be careful, Daddy!" And she kept telling him not to fall. I'm sure this didn't make him nervous at all! I think he did a great job. Probably one of our best Christmas displays yet:) Oh and I almost forgot, Olivia picked out the inflatable Santa.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Nine Months!!

>
Mia turned nine months yesterday. Time is surely flying, but sometimes when I look at her I think she is older. She is mastering everything so quickly. I guess that is the life of a second child. Mia is an expert crawler and now prefers to stand. She pulls up on EVERYTHING. Thankfully, she hasn't figured out how to walk around the furniture yet!! She is clapping and waving, and smacks her lips when you ask for a kiss. It is the cutest!! She has tried some table foods and has loved everything. She was not too crazy about some of the stage 3 baby food. Can you blame her? Mia and Olivia have also started taking their bathes together. What fun! Here are a a few pics of sweet Amelia.

Disney Princess Surprise

We decided to surprise Olivia with tickets to see The Disney Princesses in Ice. She got all dolled up in a new Ariel dress up-outfit and had so much fun!! Her favorite was Apple Princess, AKA Snow White. Mia came with along too of course, and I think she really enjoyed herself too! She was really interested in the music and all of the colorful costumes. We can already tell she wants to be just like her big sis!

Happy Halloween

The girls had a very full month of Halloween this year. Two costume parties, the Zoo Boo, trick or treating at the church pumpkin patch, a school party, and trick or treating in our neighborhood. Whew! I'm just glad their costumes lasted through all these events! Olivia was super excited for trick or treating this year. My shy girl did so great! She even went to a few extra houses, after I took Mia in for the night. Mia and Olivia started fighting (here we go!) over Olivia's pumpkin bucket before we even left our driveway. Thankfully, we had an extra for Mia to hold onto in the wagon. I'm sure people thought we were trying to get extra candy! HA! Here's a few pics:
